Background
The Astma Fonds is one of the best known and longest existing charitable organizations in the Netherlands. They are committed to over one million people with chronic lung disease. Both the foundation (fundraising) as the patient association of lung patients are part of the Astma Fonds.

Challenge
Create a brand name that covers the full scope of activities and conveys the notion of a result-driven and progressive organization.

Result
Longfonds: an organization that fights for healthy lungs and against chronic lung diseases. A brand that cleverly indicates the broad scope of the fund’s activities. In the new logo the two colour planes symbolize the lungs and the two sides of ‘Longfonds’: association and fund. Pink is the (current) warm colour of the fund, blue represents trust and safety. Moreover, the blue lung symbolizes a text balloon that stands for an active voice for lung patients.
